Proper care can help dresses maintain their shape, color, and appearance. Always follow the sewn-in care label, which takes priority over this general guide.
Before Washing
- Read the care label.
- Separate light, dark, and brightly colored items.
- Close zippers, buttons, hooks, and fastenings.
- Turn printed, embroidered, or embellished garments inside out.
- Use a laundry bag for delicate items.
General Washing
- Use cold or lukewarm water unless the label states otherwise.
- Select a gentle or delicate cycle.
- Use a mild detergent.
- Avoid bleach unless specifically permitted.
- Do not wash delicate dresses with heavy items such as towels or jeans.
Drying
- Air dry delicate garments when possible.
- Reshape garments while damp.
- Lay knit or stretch items flat to dry.

Ironing and Steaming
